Rob Statham (Bass)



Rob studied at the Guildhall School of Music in the 80's and has subsequently recorded with many top musicians. In the late 80's he worked with saxophonist Ed Jones recording for the acid jazz label and appearing on BBC broadcasts as well as being featured on a Jazz FM interview in '89. He later worked extensively with saxophonist Theo Travis throughout the 90's recording three cds and touring widely including performances at Ronnie Scotts and Jazz Cafe. He also worked with Keith Emerson recording on 'Emerson plays Emerson'. More recently he has been working with guitarist John Etheridge notably with Zappatistas, touring Europe and the UK and recording a cd. Other credits to his name include Paz, Ian Carr's Nucleus, Jim Mullen and many others in the UK jazz scene.
